Agrologists Manitoba is the regulatory body for agrology practice in Manitoba. As a part of our small team, you would contribute to ensuring the public interest in agrology practice [supporting safe food production and environmental protection].
We are currently recruiting for a full-time permanent position of Administrative/Financial Coordinator.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Under the direction of the Executive Director/Registrar, this position presents the opportunity to provide direct support for administrative, registration and financial duties at Agrologists Manitoba. The Administrative Coordinator will possess strong organizational skills, demonstrated ability to use computer systems and the ability to work independently.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Administrative/Registration Support
- Respond to inquiries (email and phone)
- Prepare and format letters, documents, annual reports, agendas/minutes of meetings, mass communications, and other data submissions
- Update and maintain website, liaising with service provider as necessary
- Support Council and Committees in scheduling meetings, preparation of reference documents, and providing technical support
- Provide registration support, ensuring completed applications and summaries
- Maintain physical and digital records
- Process incoming/outgoing mail
Financial/Accounting Support
- Timely online invoicing processes which includes annual renewals of registration
- Using online systems, process and record account receivables and payables, coordinating directly with bookkeeper
- Prepare external auditor’s information requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven work experience in an administrative role which includes accounting support
- Working knowledge of financial management of accounts receivable/payable
- Strong computer skills for navigating online systems (examples: Envoke, Stripe, Quickbooks Online)
- Demonstrated ability using Microsoft Office Systems (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills to accomplish a wide variety of responsibilities relating to Administrative and Financial Coordination.
- Possess a high level of initiative with the demonstrated ability to work independently and with minimum supervision.
- Ability to communicate detailed information in writing
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada
Agrologists Manitoba offers a competitive compensation package which includes access to comprehensive health benefits and the opportunity for a flexible, work-from-home arrangement.
The starting salary will be commensurate with qualification and experience; within the range of $44,000 to $50,000 annually.
