Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

Safety is the primary focus of Agrologists Manitoba.

As the COVID-19 situation evolves, we want to update you on how we are responding. Several weeks ago, we made decisions and took actions to safeguard the health and well-being of the public including members as well as our office staff by listening to and following guidance from Manitoba’s public health experts. We will continue to monitor guidelines and requirements.

Our Office

Until further notice, the Agrologists Manitoba office at the University of Manitoba is closed. To ensure applicants, registrants, and the public are able to get the information and services you need, core services will continue to be provided with some modifications by staff who are working remotely.

If you want to call the office at 204-275-3721, you can leave a voice mail message that will be immediately directed to our staff who will connect with you by phone or email as quickly as possible. We are available between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Meetings and Services

The Annual General Meeting originally scheduled for April 8th in Portage la Prairie will be held on Tuesday, May 5th. This virtual meeting will be delivered using audio and video technologies so that our registrants can actively participate in the agenda of the meeting.  Member registrants will receive information about registering for the meeting and accessing related documents. While not the same as an in-person event, the meeting is an opportunity for Council and members to communicate.

Agrologists-in-Training are trying to work their way through requirements leading to full professional status. The Jurisprudence and Ethics seminar is an important requirement. Although we are unable to provide an in-person opportunity to meet, we will be making arrangements for small group delivery of the seminar. The office will communicate with Agrologist-in-Training who need this requirement about details.

New applicants can begin the registration process as usual–-through the online registration and application page of this website.
