Provincial Council Profile

Trish Jordan

Trish Jordan is passionate about agriculture, farmers and enhancing agricultural awareness with the non-farming public.  She grew up in the city but has worked for five different agricultural organizations in two western provinces, all with very different organizational structures and cultures.  Each role has given her the privilege of working closely with, and for, farmers.

In her current role as Senior Business Partner, Government & Industry Affairs, Trish engages with provincial governments in Western Canada and key farm and industry stakeholders across the country in support of Bayer’s business, its farm customers and the Canadian agricultural sector.  Trish also leads Bayer’s sponsorship program and manages two flagship community giving programs aimed at strengthening communities and improving the lives of both rural and urban residents across the country.

Trish donates her time to many boards and is a current executive member of the Clean Farms Board of Directors and is the President of the Canadian Agricultural Hall of Fame. She also serves on the Boards of Agriculture in the Classroom-Manitoba and Cereals Canada and was recently appointed to the Board Advisory Committee of Agriculture in the Classroom Canada. In September 2020, Trish received the Canadian Farm Writers and Broadcasters Lifetime Achievement Award which honors long-serving members who have made outstanding contributions to the federation and to the agricultural communications and media industries.  Trish is also a 2013 recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for her leadership in agriculture; advocacy for innovation and competitiveness; and her commitment to community service.
