Tim Hore, P.Ag.
Tim is a seasoned professional with 25 years of progressive managerial, leadership & executive experience in private industry, public service and most recently in academia. For 15 years, he worked for two multinational food companies holding senior level management positions where he developed a passion for leadership, delivering results and lean six sigma management philosophies. Tim joined the Manitoba Department of Agriculture in 2008 where he held management and executive level positions within the department. He is the former Chief Operating Officer of the Food Development Centre (a Special Operating Agency of Manitoba Agriculture) in Portage la Prairie. Most recently, Tim joined Assiniboine Community College as the Dean School of Agriculture and Environment. Tim holds an Honours B.Sc. Agriculture and a Master in Agriculture from the University of Guelph. His research led to the national beef grading system adding marbling as a measurement of carcass quality and pricing.
Tim spent 10 years on the board of directors of the Keystone Centre in Brandon serving as a Director, Vice Chair & Chairperson. Over those ten years, the centre updated and renewed its strategic direction, resulting in a governance review of the organization and significant changes to senior leadership with the goal to move towards operational sustainability. As well, Tim has served as a Director of the Manitoba Agri-Health Research Network and the Wawanesa/Oakland Community Development Corporation.
