Jordan’s love of agriculture and the beef industry began as a child while being raised on a beef
cow/calf operation in southwestern Manitoba. She pursued a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture
degree majoring in Animal Science (2015) and a Master of Science degree in Animal Science (2022)
from University of Manitoba with a focus on beef production. She has been a licensed Professional
Agrologist since 2020.
Jordan was worked in various roles in the beef industry in research and extension along with the
feed industry. She currently is the owner and beef nutritionist of JD Beef Nutrition Consulting and
enjoys working with beef producers to provide independent nutrition and management advice.
Jordan also works part time with Manitoba Beef and Forage initiatives as an Extension Specialist
providing data, reporting and extension support to the dedicated team working to advance
Manitoba’s strong beef industry. While raising their daughter to also have a passion for agriculture,
she also works with her husband and his family on the farm to support their commercial beef
cow/calf operation portion of the farm with calving season being her favorite time of the year.
Jordan currently sits on the Canadian Agricultural Youth Council under AAFC and has enjoyed
working with outstanding fellow council members from across Canada to support the voices of
young producers and industry professionals.
