Rachel Evans, P.Ag.

Rachel Evans is a dynamic agronomist with 10+ years of experience providing agronomy training, research coordination and project leadership. Since 2018, Rachel has been working as Technical Sales Manager at FMC Canada, covering Manitoba and southern Saskatchewan. She brings her strong academic background in the areas of plant and soil science to provide science-based solutions and guide best practices for FMC farm customers. Rachel’s love for the outdoors eventually led her to pursue a B.Sc. Agroecology (2011), and later a Master of Plant Science (2015) from the University of Manitoba, where she explored the use of fall rye cover crops for weed management in Manitoba’s pulse production systems. Prior to joining FMC, Rachel worked with the Flax Council of Canada, as Extension Agronomist, and Native Plant Solutions (Ducks Unlimited Canada), as project coordinator, experiences that laid her foundation in working with diverse stakeholders from across the Ag sector.  Rachel is passionate about supporting the next generation of agronomists, twice serving as mentor in the Agriculture Mentorship Program for Women in Agricultural Studies at University of Manitoba Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences. She is a Certified Crop Advisor (2017) and a member of the Professional Agrologists Institute of Manitoba (2016).
